If someone comes in with two kids and wants to train as well, each person who will be attending classes must have their own profile. This includes the parent if they are also training.
However, if only the kids are training, the parent or responsible person does not need to create a profile for themselves. In that case, only the children need profiles. Each child’s profile will include an Emergency Contact section, which should be filled out with the parent’s or responsible person’s details.
Only one membership can be assigned per profile.
How to Apply a Family Discount (Parent + Kids Example)
If you are offering a family discount, for example, a lower price for the second child, or a package deal involving a parent and two kids, the flow should be set up as follows:
Everyone who will be training needs their own profile: one for each child and one for the parent.
As a gym owner, you will need to create and hand out discount coupon codes that can be applied at checkout on a case-by-case basis.
A membership must be purchased independently from each profile applying the discount coupon when relevant.
Example
Let’s say:
An adult membership costs €60
A kid’s membership costs €40
You want the total for a parent + 2 kids to be €80 instead of €100
You can handle this by:
Instructing the parent to purchase their own adult membership at full price (€60)
Then, for the kid, provide a €20 discount coupon (or a 50% off coupon) to apply during checkout for their membership
That child’s membership will cost €20 instead of €40
So the total becomes:
€60 (adult)
€20 (discounted kid)
Total: €80 instead of €100
This structure ensures that all memberships are properly linked to individual profiles and discounts are applied accurately.
Important Notes About Coupons
Each coupon must be applied individually at checkout, from the specific profile of the person receiving the discount.
To prevent misuse, it's recommended to generate redeem codes on demand rather than using public promo codes.
