In MAAT, you should only have monthly (or quarterly, semi-annual, annual, etc.) memberships, without including the enrollment fee.
The enrollment fee is charged outside of MAAT, directly in Stripe, using the payment method the student already saved when purchasing their membership.
The flow is as follows:
The student purchases their membership in MAAT (this does not include the enrollment fee).
That purchase automatically saves the student’s payment method in Stripe.
Then, you can charge the enrollment fee directly from Stripe, quickly and securely.
How to charge the enrollment fee in Stripe?
Step 1: Access Stripe Dashboard
Open Stripe Dashboard.
Log in with your credentials.
Step 2: Locate the student
In the search bar, type the student’s name or email.
Click on their profile to view details.
Step 3: Add the product
Inside the student’s profile, go to the Subscriptions section.
Click the plus (+) icon to add a product, in this case the enrollment fee.
Step 4: Add the enrollment fee as a product
Select “Add Product.”
Choose the product “Enrollment Fee” (if it has not been created yet, you can create it on the spot).
Step 5: Confirm and save
Review the changes.
Click “Update Subscription” so the charge is processed with the student’s saved payment method.
