In MAAT, students can only hold one membership or package at a time. When a student needs to pay a maintenance fee (instead of their usual membership), this is managed directly on Stripe by modifying their subscription and applying a discount coupon.
⚠️ Important: Before applying a maintenance fee to any student subscription, you must first create a coupon code in Stripe.

Step-by-Step Guide
1. Access the Student’s Subscription
Log in to your Stripe Dashboard.
Use the search bar at the top to find the student by name or email.
Open their Customer Profile.
Inside the profile, click on the Subscription you want to update.
2. Apply the Maintenance Fee Discount
Inside the subscription, click Update Subscription.
Select Add coupon.
Choose the maintenance fee coupon you created earlier.
Confirm the update.
3. What Happens Next?
The student’s subscription will reflect the reduced maintenance fee amount until the coupon expires.
Once the coupon expires, the subscription will automatically return to its normal billing amount.
If you want to extend the maintenance fee beyond the initial timeframe, you can apply the same coupon again or create a new one.
