What happens when the student membership is past due?

Learn how MAAT handles memberships when a payment is past due.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Step-by-step Guide:

1. What Does "Past Due" Mean?

A membership is marked as Past Due when the student has an active subscription, but the system has not been able to collect payment.

This usually happens because:

  • The student’s card has insufficient funds, or

  • The payment method was cancelled or expired.

2. Student Experience

  • Students with a Past Due membership will see a notification message informing them that their payment couldn’t be processed.

  • Despite this message, they will still be allowed to sign up for classes.

3. Coach Visibility

  • In the class attendee list, these students will appear with a red triangle icon next to their name.

  • This allows coaches to easily identify students with payment issues.
