Overview
Stripe Tax is an add-on service offered by Stripe that helps you automatically calculate and collect sales tax, VAT, and GST from your customers.
Keep in mind that this service has an additional cost of around 1% per transaction (see official Stripe docs for details: Stripe Tax Documentation).
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Open Stripe Tax
From your Stripe dashboard, click on “More” in the left-hand menu.
A drop-down will appear, click on “Tax”.
2. Add a Registration
On the top-right corner, click on “Add registration”.
3. Select Country
Choose the country where the gym is located.
Complete the registration by selecting ‘I’ve already registered’.
4. Start Collecting
Once registration is complete, click on “Start collecting”.
5. Verify Registration
Go to the “Registrations” section to confirm your registration appears in the list.
6. Notify MAAT Support
Contact MAAT Support to let us know the setup is done.
