No Show Policy Settings

Learn how to set up and manage your no-show policy in MAAT.

With this feature, it is possible to configure fees for students who either cancel their attendance to class too late or don’t show up at all. Here’s how it works:


Configurable Options

1. Max Hours to Cancel

This defines the cut-off point (in hours before class starts) for free cancellations.

  • If a student cancels before this time, no fee applies.

  • If a student cancels within this timeframe, they may be charged the Late Cancellation Fee.

2. Late Cancellation Fee

This is the amount charged when a student cancels too late—that is, within the Max Hours to Cancel window.

Important Exception: Students won’t be charged this fee if:

  • They signed up for the class within this same timeframe (i.e. last-minute sign-ups).

  • They were automatically added from the waiting list (e.g., someone else canceled, and they were bumped in).

3. No Show Fee

This is the fee charged when a student signs up for a class but doesn’t attend, and doesn’t cancel.

  • The gym owner or coach will have the ability to mark students as “no shows” manually.

  • When doing so, the system will prompt whether to apply the No Show Fee.

Important note:

  • The amount for the No-Show Fee

  • The amount for the Late Cancel Fee

  • The number of hours before class when students can no longer cancel
