How to Manually Retry a Payment

Learn how to manually retry a failed payment from MAAT or Stripe.

Step-by-step Guide:

Retry a Payment in MAAT

Payments can be manually retried in MAAT only for Overdue memberships.

Access the Student Profile

Open the profile of the student with the overdue payment.

This can be done from:

  • The Members Page (Recommended)

  • The Leaderboard

  • A class where the student has booked

Note: If the student is booked into a class, you will see the Overdue icon next to their name.

Scroll Down to Membership

Scroll down until you find the student’s Membership section.

Tap Retry Payment

Tap Retry Payment.

The payment will be retried immediately.

If the payment goes through, the membership status will update automatically.

Retry a Payment in Stripe

Payments can be manually retried in Stripe for both Overdue and Unpaid memberships.

Open the Student Profile in Stripe

Search for the student’s name in the Stripe search bar.

Open the Failed Invoice

Scroll down to the Invoices section.

Click on the invoice marked as Failed or Retrying.

Note: If the invoice shows Retrying, Stripe is already automatically retrying the payment. You do not need to retry it manually unless you want to.

Click Charge Customer

Once the invoice is open, click Charge Customer in the top-right corner.

Confirm the Payment

  • Choose one of the available payment methods on the customer profile.

  • Click Charge Customer to attempt the payment.

If the payment goes through, the invoice status will update.

If the invoice is connected to the current subscription, the membership status in MAAT will also update.
